Parents all over the world, we have some great news for you! The famous Julie Andrews will soon join the streaming platform’s team, with a new show, made especially for your kids.

It will definitely be a great addition!

Julie’s Greenroom will be targeted at preschool children, who will definitely love the cast of puppets learning about performing arts, says BBC. Of course, we don’t doubt that the show will be watched by some adults as well. After all, who doesn’t remember Mrs. Andrews for her roles in The Sound of Music or Marry Poppins?

Julie Andrews and her assistant Gus are expected to bring performing arts to the new generations of kids, through their upcoming show, Julie’s Greenroom. “This project represents the fulfilment of a long held dream to educate children about the wonder of the arts,” she said.

The actress will play Ms Julie, the director of the Wellspring Centre for the Performing Arts, and will give workshops to the puppets, also known as “Greenies”.

During the show, the duo and their cast of puppets will try teaching kids about dancing, mime, circus acts, singing or acting. And even more, guest stars like Alec Baldwin, Carol Burnett, Josh Groban and Tituss Burgess will appear in some of the episodes.

Netflix is optimistic about working with Mrs. Andres

“This show is all about awakening children’s interest in the performing arts while introducing a new era of puppets to the viewers,” said Netflix director of global kids content Andy Yeatman. It’s been an incredible treat to work with Julie on this project.”

Julie Andrews‘ show will start airing in early 2017, as a part of Netflix strategy to create more family viewing for its subscribers, which currently count more than 81 million.
